Today my 320 is beeing serviced and since I love to try out different cars, I couldn't walk away :D
Last time I had a yellow Mini One (ewwww for the color, but much fun), but this time I was lucky and got a bigger one :D

A nice Jeep Cherokee 2.4 Sport.

ok, nice isn't really the word.. the previous models were 10 times better looking IMO, but well, it's nice to drive such a car when you are used to sit "low" into traffic :D

This is the basic model, no optionals at all, so the gizmos don't strech far from electric windows, mirrors, adjustable steering column... but it's nice and comfy inside. Very simple, no german quality of course, but roomy and still a nice place to be :D
The boot is quite small, but the rear passengers sure have LOT of legroom! Ah, I also loved the way I could hide my camera in the center "thing" between the front seats ;)

What about the driving experience? Well, nothing special... the engine can barely move the car... 150 hp... and almost 2000 kg.. and the engine noise is so terrible that I thought it was a diesel untill I checked the engine bay! Ugh! It seemed a diesel w/o torque.. very strange :D

the steering is very light.. remember me Audi's light steering... but while Audis are generally place on car chassis, the Cherokee is placed in god knows what :D every little input on the wheel results in big wavings and body roll :D but well.. it isn't a sport car, is it? ;)

ok enough.. how boring I am?

Since it has the lowgearing system, I had to go into "my" wood to play on some unexplored roads, and it was MUCH fun finally :D

Here are some preliminary shots and some into the woods :D (also one at home)

It's allways fun to drive around with something different and a Jeep is about as different from a 320 as you can get

I've never driven a Jeep to be honest... well I've also never driven anything sporty :P but I can image it's fun. A friend of mine has just bought a Jeep Wrangler (5.7 litre engine I think), bought wider tires and stuff. He loves to pick the steepest hill and try and get to the top :D He's in a Jeep club.

Btw, nice pics!! But the car isn't my taste, too much plastic bits.

LOL well, not that they would really care if I would stop taking my car there.. it's a very big dealership and in the same building you can find Toyota, Lexus, Jaguar, Rover, MG, Land Rover/Range Rover, Subaru, Chrysler, Jeep, Daihatsu, KIA, BMW, Mini, Volvo, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia all working together in a very friendly and collaborative way :D
it's just that they are pretty nice people allaround :)

Alot of choice from that dealer TT do you have any shots from the drivers view- see how big and powerful you feel :P As there is a rover dealer there you never know you could get something a bit smaller next time like a classic mini- then you would really have fun :D. I've only ridden in a new mini but the driver did this wierd thing- he braked for the corners very strange :?

My sister has one and I can understand when you say the driving experience isn´t really special. For me maybe the worst thing was the driving position, you don´t feel like you are part of the car but rather like you´re sitting on top of it. Anyway, just wanted to share this pictures of the car with you. BTW is has the 3.7 l V6 so at least it doesn´t feel like it´s not moving
