I'm not sure exactly what this says, but from what I've heard on other forums the Enzo in the article did 363 km/h.

http://www.bild.t-online.de/BTO/auto/aktuell/2004/05/19/audi__chef__ferrari/audi__chef__ferrari.html

Considering it was only speedo it was a little fishy, but apparently an Enzo owner on the same forum knew of one that got 370 km/h, but the the computer showed 363 km/h when checked at the dealer.

363 km/h = apprx. 225 mph

363 km/h = apprx. 225 mph

curious...... pgr2 has the enzo topping off @ 224 mph lol
id love to get passed by a car going that fast :) and im quite sure Ferrari claims 217mph... good to underrate... i wonder what the outside conditions were? temperature, wind vector, pw in the 900-950mb range? i wouldnt doubt it could squeez a few more with the right conditions

Same "probelm" with a french Enzo, in the french magazine "Sport Auto" the gendarmes (french police outside the cities) clocked several cars on a closed road but they couldn't measure the Enzo speed as if it was a stealth car  so they checked the onboard computer and saw 353 km/h.

Holy fuck that makes me so proud when i hear that, and just imagine if Ferrari where going for top speed instead of acceleration, on a track fastest supercar period, in a general track, like not all starights not all turns u know a mix

damn it's fast!363kmh for a car that produces so much downforce is a LOT.

And I love the fact that i like a stealth car..interesting!

Yeah, I heard that radar beams bounce off of carbon fiber, EVO was saying the same thing about the DAUER 962....that is very fast indeed..especially for a car with that much downforce

Here is a link to a forum, with a picture of an Enzo having done 366 on the Gumball rally (in Morocco)

Little detail: that Enzo isn't stock :D

225 mph should put in #3 behind
1. Daur Posche - 253 MPH
2. Mclaren F1 - 241 MPH

I am excluding tuner specials like Lingenfelter Yellow Bird and its ilk...

I don't speak German but is the article stating that Michael took the VW chairman around Monza circuit and hit 363 km/h ?

That is some fast stuff!!!

I knew that it could do better than "only" 350km/h! :D

No idea, but quoted at 900 hp

900bhp Enzo? Err...I am dubious. Any idea on who did the work, what was performed, etc?

??? 900 hp !! I suppose the owner have to rebuilt the engine every 1000 miles, 150 bhp/liter !!!

It's maybe the same owner who has a yellow F50 that ran the Supercar Rally in 2001.

Well if it was yellow with black rims and with a plate from Monaco, I guess so... but again... it's easy to say "my Enzo has 1500 hp" ;) so far no proof at all anyway

Which Enzo are you referring to as there are apparently three that have topped the 360km/h mark?

The german link, the one I believe it was someone Menasce heard of that went 370km/h speedo and then was checked at 363km/h and then the gumball one.

So are any/all of them the same car?

That's fast, very fast.
At that speed you just grip the wheel with much power as possible. :D
Have any official test been made on the Enzo??

HoboPie

Nope, no offical tests. Ferrari did take it to Nardo at least once, where apparently they confirmed the 0-125 0-150 figures tested at Fiorano. They may have done a top speed test, but they never revealed their findings.

BTW, here is the post talking about that 900 hp Enzo: http://www.motorworld.net/forum/showthread.php?p=156684#156684

Well thats more of a replica car...not really a Porsche, so I wouldnt count that in since it would fall into same category as tuner cars I guess.

damn thats fast
the enzo is one hell of a machine

Seeing as Ferrari quotes the Enzo's top speed as 217mph, I would believe that 225mph is quite achievable given the right temperature, rear spoiler setting (undeployed), and accounting for tire growth at speed.

Its stock for sure, because if it had 900hp, instead of bein a 13km/h difference 350 - 363 it would be more like 350 - 390 or even 400

TT

Not sure the spacing of the gearing would allow anyway 1000 km/h if you provide enough power :P

dons5
05-21-2004, 06:16 PM
ya thats true who knows what speeds the gears are placed at thats true ur right about that, but i was readin and Ferrari said (during develpoment of the Enzo), that they tested the Enzo to over 240 or 250 (cant remember), now im not sure if they said they actually tested it, i think what they meant was if we wanted it too we could of made it go over 240 or 250,

SFDMALEX
05-21-2004, 08:07 PM
Well this car has the potential to do 390 if u ask me. But its just not geared for that. Its geared for track use(short gears) may explain why it was faster around nurburgring and slower around norsdschleife compared to the CGT.

I would expect that by the time the radar wave got to where the enzo was.....the car would be some ways away!
