i downloaded a divx rip earlier from one of the sites posted on here.. its the jeremy clarkson head to head.. well its in avi format and ive had this problem once before with a divx rip.. the video pauses for a second or two pretty much every 4-5 seconds. what is this and how can i fix it? its damned annoying :x

I don't think the video is the problem. Maybe your CPU isn't up to the task? What are the specs on your PC?

p3.. 256 ram.. 450mhz.. yep.. its an old one. :oops: the video and sound cards might be problem, i just noticed the audio/video dont match up. blasted voodoo3

It's most likely the PC causing the problem then. if you have a CD burner you might be able to put it in whatever format is needed to play it on a standard DVD player. Just a thought.
