Found this today. Old video it seems, but didn't find it posted here.

some info about it;
Does anyone remember the incident in California where an ex-marine (Shawn Nelson) with mental illness...actually STOLE a tank, and drove down the highway...smashing anything in his path? What's more, he was a former tank gunner...so he DID know how to operate the tank and its hardware. Fortunately, he did not employ the weapons. He was finally subdued by BRAVE police officers who climbed on top of the turret, and managed to open the hatch. After timeless requests for the suspect to stop the tank and surrender, the officers did what they had to do to protect the citizens.
Its also made a documentary about it called "Cul de Sac A Suburban War Story".

I think I remember this one. I'm pretty sure those things aren't parked with live weapons, so it's not like he purposely didn't start firing on people and stuff.

He drove the tank onto the center divide of the freeway and got stuck. From there, the police opened the hatch and shot and killed him. There was a big outcry because he was supposedly unarmed inside and it's questionable whether they needed to kill him.

It was some pretty fantastic footage if anyone has it.

I have seen this too. The guy just drives over RV's, cars, minivans, light poles. Anything that gets in his path.

i recall when this happend... and i remember the outrage at the time that the police used deadly force... it really does show how unstoppable a tank is (compared to civilian police)
