Acer..

Why didn't Maranello sell the license to a decent PC maker like Compaq (NOT the HP side of HP/Compaq.. ;)) or Dell?

Looks pretty nice, but I'm guessing this will cost a fortune like the other one.

Yeah - right up to the point you need hardware replacement support...

I'll never buy from a smallish company again i bought my laptop from a small uk business called multivision who were the cheapest by far, the reason they were cheapest though was they wern't paying their bills, they went bust around christmas!! so i had no tech support for ages, they've now been bought so i think i still have a warranty, but its a dell for me next time

heh he said compatible with jsut about nothing, not everything.

I doubt they'll ever sell the rights to make a Ferrari notebook by mac because Ferrair is sponsered by AMD or something.

Yeah, but AMD only have a small logo =>> only a small amount of sponsership.

I am sure the deal isn't permanent

 Apple is a really large, worldwide company now... it wouldn't suprise me if they sponsored a team, trying to push their ipod range to the 1 billion viewers

Apple isn't that big really... It's known world wide no doubt, but I don't think they make as much money on their computers as they used to.
