May 13th - Ferrari dealership HI-RES (612, 575, 550, TR...)

Ok today I had my second Ferrari day in the last month :D I'm quite lucky lately :D and to think I even shot a Gallardo in the afternoon!

Anyway, thanks to my neighbour, Valter, who works at the local Ferrari dealership, I was abl eto sneak inside ;) drool at the cars and take pics to prove that ;)

The dealer was to nice! i was waiting for Valter in the Showroom and there was just me, the dealer and a "real" customer. He had to test a F355 Spider, so the dealer had to go with him.. so he came by me and told me something like "I'm going out for a while, please, just don't go away and keep on check the cars"... and I never saw him before LOL. So they went and I was ALONE inside a pretty big Ferrari dealership :D packed with nice cars, all of them opened of course. And probably the keys not to far away :D
Of course I'm not an asshole, but a car lover, so I just kept my pictures and drooling ordeal w/o doing the idiot ;)

Lovely pics TT i bet your so glad you spoke to him! :D My favourite is the mean looking 575 maranello in that gumetal type colour, i've seen one in person in light silver but that one looks fantastic, makes me want to come over to switzerland and do a reinactment of the start of gone in sixty seconds :lol:

Well, usually I don't enter dealerships if I don't have to buy a car... I don't like to be there just because I'm curious.. and with a Ferrari one.. well.. it has also a very special aura.. and no, IMO you can't just pass by and enter.. maybe it's just me, but it would seem un-polite and un-respectfull to enter it w/o an invitation of some sort like I had...

BTW, i forgot to talk about the customer that tested the F355 spider... well, as I say every time, I'm not an hardcore Ferrari fan, but I'm not blind and I feel their special "power"... and well, so did him of course. he sat in the car and then looked at the dealer standing beside the car and asked "Can I turn it on?" :D LOL and it was like a 6 years old boy begging for a yes! He repeated it two times.. and when the dealer gave him the ok, he was for sure a VERY happy man...

You can love Ferrari to death or just like some of their models, but you can't deny there is something special about them ;)

And also, they had that small red leather furniture corner behind the red 575 and silver 612.. it was done IMO in the same leather used in the cars.. I sat there after a while, just to chill out and the smell, the fact I was alone inside a Ferrari dealership... dang how nice it was :D

Damn TT! Nice pics. I love the matte 575. The flat black and satin black paint jobs are very common on hot rods around here. IMO it makes the car look so evil :twisted: I love it! My bro's 49 Chevy truck was flat black and it looked great, now hes gone and painted it lime green or some shit, I havent seen it yet, but I think I already would prefer the flat black.

I've seen that matte-black one floating around (pictures of it, rather) - I'm not convniced it's hot.

But bianco has to be the best color on the 612...for such a big car, it hides the lines well.

I too have the same question. I don't really care for the car from the photos I've seen, but do know that sometimes pics don't do a vehicle justice. The styling just seems bland. Please tell me that it is a looker in person.

Oh yeah, that Flat black 575 is absolutely stunning. The only thing I might do is have a polished lip on the wheels for just a bit of contrast to seperate the wheels from the car.

I'm happy that you all like the pics :D it's always nice to provide some exclusive matherial ;) (even if of course we already saw pics of all the cars in there ;)), but still I prefer to go to a place like that, compared to say Geneva Motorshow... it is cool there too, but with you, another 1'000'000 people are going there and taking their pics, as long as the press and so on :D

The feeling of beeing inside there, all alone, beeing able to take pics (of course I asked before I started shooting) .. was superb!

Well I already saw the Scaglietti in Geneva and it was rotating so I saw it from every angle too and already I thought it was 1000 times better in the metal.. now that I was able to approach it even more, I confirm that! I tried to take pics from never seen angles, because there must be the "correct one" LOL.. and then I looked at my pics and they were as all the others.. not showing a gorgeous Ferrari... but when you are there beside it, it's way better.. sadly the two in the dealership and the one in the garage (to dark -> no pics) were the same silver color.. they said they had a black one in the morning and I'm sure a darker color is better suited :D

Anyway... I checked more than once the 612 and quickly ran to the 456... and well, I'd take the latter hands down still ;)

And no, although all the cars were open, I didn't dare.. especially when alone... to polite maybe, I don't know, but I think you can't just jump in a Ferrari like you would do in another car ;)
But for the 612's interior shot, it was me that opened the door :D still supersweet :D

The dark 575 looks really really badass!!! I want that paint for my moms Yaris :lol: I think even that would look cool then. The paint would probably cost as much as the car :P

I'm glad you shot some pics of the 612. IMO: from the side it looks very very good! From the front, nice, something different, but not as good as most ferrari's. But the back is not nice at all. Like it isn't really styled at all.

Today I went there again, very quickly to say thanks once again.. and while I was out of my car for probably 30 seconds (obviously I left the camera inside since I wasn't planning to shot pics again), from the garage a 360CS (red with stripe) blasted out.. followed shortly by the black Scaglietti :( ouch it hurted badly! Probably even with the camera in my hands I would have missed them since they didn't stop...

Anyway I will come back every now and then and I hope to be informed when the next Enzo will be booked in for servicing ;)

I'm surprised you thought it wouldn't be possible to enter a Ferrari dealership just like that. Here it's no big deal. Unless you look like a homeless person or shout or act rude or something like that, they'll leave you to admire the cars and walk around. The Dutch distributor Kroymans has a basement as well, which can be seen from the outside of the building through small windows, but sadly I've never been there. That is where all the classics are, so I'd really like to take a look there once.

I have a little interesting info.. no idea if it will end up with some more pics of a new dealership, but you never know..

100 km from here, on the road I use to visit my parents when alpine passes are free of snow, there is the "main" dealership. I mean, the one in Lausanne and that one are owned by the same people and as far as I see, the other one depiste beeing deeper into the Alps and in a less populated area, has a wider collection of cars!

Sadly their website is not that up to date.. the pics are pretty vintage and so on.. but they give an idea:

They also have an F50 listed (yellow), but no picture.. and a wopping 540'000 USD. It's a 1997 model, only one owner, only 12'000 km...
And funny, they also have a Murcielago and a Porsche GT3... two persons that decided to switch to Ferrari I guess :D
