I think the appropriate name for this car is PT Crusher instead of Cruiser.

What! How the hell did they fit a viper engine in that thing or the better question would be why the hell you would want to put that engine in there. I hate Pt's, I even hate one with a big ass engine in it!!!:(

i always thought the PTs would kick ass with a v8 and RWD... then they would make wicked panel wagons in 60 years... this is sweet, too bad its not the hemi in a production version tho.

strange....... im confused as well on how they fit the engine in there... definately a massive costome job. must be fast as hell tho... it seems a small waste. at the autoshow earlier this year, there was a Baracuda with the 8.3Liter Viper motor in it... a well done transplant as well, but it had the looks too :)

There was a charger with a Viper Engine in it as well in a hot rod magazine a while back. Custom job, 18x12" rear wheels, the car was awesome. It was called the Charger GTS. Now that would be a project I would like to do... :)

I've seen that thing before, just as ugly if it had the puny 4 cylinder.
I've also seen a Viper Engine stuffed into a Jeep Wrangler.

well Chrysler made one a while back called the PT Bruiser and it had a two door and chopped top conversion with the sides panelled like a work van and dropped the Viper motor in the rear. And I've also seen the Charger w/viper engine.

That is what hot rodding is all about - stuffing the biggest baddest motor you can into your own custom.

Y'all a just a bunch of haters... ;)

Im no hater and people who do stuff like that are not stupid as some seem to think, they just want to make the car personal and the pleasure you get when you make something like that working is very fullfiling....

I respect people who makes stuff like that work, even if I hate the pt cruiser...

this is totally true.... and afterall, unless this car has no transmission, it would be incredibly fast! however, notice that is an 'old' viper engine.... the 8.0 liter :)

it would be a bitch to change the plugs

Gads. Someone did some hefty work on that car! Must have moved the firewall back quite a few inches, amongst other things. Must get awful hot in that cabin, too... nor can I imagine there's much to squeeze your legs in, after it's all done and spoken for.

Props to the guys that made the car, even if they chose a punter of a car to put that Viper motor in :)

You just described driving the first 2 generation Vipers... ;)
