PRODUCTION ENDS AT HISTORIC DEARBORN ASSEMBLY

WHAT: The last vehicle rolls off the line as production ends at the historic
Dearborn Assembly Plant. The plant opened in 1918 and has long
stood as the cornerstone of the Ford's legendary Rouge
manufacturing complex.

WHEN: Monday, May 10, 11:45 a.m.

WHERE: Media registration:
Ford Motor Company, World Headquarters, front parking lot, at the bus
One America Road, Dearborn, Michigan
(Michigan Avenue and Southfield Freeway)


ON-SITE VISUALS: Lighting: Florescent and mercury vapor from "natural" plant lighting source. Supplemental lighting will be provided.

Media should arrive at Ford World Headquarters and will be transported to the plant.

Plant appropriate dress: closed-toe shoes and pants.

oh man..... leaving for Dearborn in 1 hour :-D !!!!

i have a good selection of pics im going to upload when i get back to Kazoo, and work on editing a video together (keep in mind im totally an amature :wink: )

i have a few inside stories that wont be heard anywhere else :)

yes, excited, and sad. the plant has been in operation since 1918, built the model A, and eventually up through this mustang. but its not totally sad, as a new stang is still made in Michigan and its seeming quite wonderful.

all will be described in full before too long... it should be up by tomarrow with pics and videos of the line
